Mobile Learning. A New Frontier, Center of Science and Industry (COSI), Columbus, Ohio, Mar. 17, 2011.
Dr. John Steidley is invited to speak at an American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) meeting to be held at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio on March 17, 2011.

Mobile Learning is a new frontier for training and development and Dr. Steidley will present several unique facets of mobile learning including the use of SMS text messaging; on-demand support of mobile individuals via integrated voice, video and email messaging; and, social networking among business professionals.  His presentation will focus on how access to the always-on, always-available smart phones of today’s business professionals offers exciting new possibilities to engage employees and improve individual and organizational performance.

Compelling research on the growth and trends of mobile technology including mobile Internet usage, social networking and smart phone adoption rates will be presented.  Dr. Steidley concludes that we are surrounded by new technology and even newer ways-of-working that will change training forever.
